Morgan’s Top 10 Album Covers of 2024
There is no doubt that music plays a giant role in creative inspiration for me and many others. Below are some of my favorite album covers I caught in 2024.
Rachel Chinouriri: ‘What A Devastating Turn of Events’
I love a cover that keeps me looking!
Rauw Alejandro: ‘Cosa Nuestra’
The contrast between this and #10 is… Well, you’ll see.
ROSÉ: ‘rosie’
One of the only closeups on this list – and this is exactly how you do it.
Rex Orange County: ‘The Alexander Technique’
You might think this one’s an error. It’s not. It’s the cover and it’s perfectly mundane and intriguing at the same time.
Suki Waterhouse: ‘Memoir of a Sparklemuffin’
I need to know how long this took in photoshop… WE need to know. The album itself is feels imaginative and airy – just like this cover makes me feel.
Doechii: ‘Alligator Bites Never Heal’
This 10/10 was inspired from another album cover, Minnie Riperton: “Adventures In Paradise”. They used a real alligator and lion for both!
Vampire Weekend: ‘Only God Was Above Us’
The album title on the newspaper? Yeah, it’s a great idea.
BETWEEN FRIENDS: ‘garage sale’
Technically an EP, but it might be my favorite one.
Rainbow Kitten Surprise: ‘Love Hate Music Box’
This level of illustration on an album cover is dedicated. I love the intricacies!
Charli xcx: ‘BRAT’
There isn’t a 2024 list today without this one on it. I hate it so much – so I have to love it even more. Like many on this list, it’s exactly what it’s supposed to be and that makes a cool cover to me.
Wow, it was hard to narrow down to 10 album covers that were unique for their own reasons!
