A simple logo with a powerful story
FBC Mayfield
If you told us a year ago that our logo design process would one day be shared during a Sunday church service, we would have told you to keep on dreamin’.
Now, it’s one of those stories that we couldn’t be more proud of.
First Baptist Church Mayfield (better known as FBC Mayfield) was one of the only structures still standing after a violent tornado tore through Mayfield, KY in 2021. In the rebuilding years that followed, a large cross in the window of their church became a symbol of strength and hope in their community, and to viewers and supporters across the nation.
When the FBC Mayfield leadership team connected with us to help revamp their church’s visual brand, the goal was simply to create something more modern and versatile for their evolving organization. In collaboration with their team, we were able to do that and so much more by creating a meaningful and deeply personal mark for the Mayfield community to rally around.

The image our graphic was born from has a deep connection in the recent life of our church and our community as a whole as it was a singular sign of hope during a recent regional tragedy. Though we were internally excited about the new direction there is always a concern when presenting new, bold ideas to a diverse group of 250+.
There was a slight audible gasp when the new image was shown in conjunction with the social media picture it was made to reflect. People connected with the new imaging in a real, personal way. When the service was completed people of all ages and backgrounds were excited and supportive of the new direction.

We sought out professional assistance because we knew we needed help, but were candidly skeptical how well a company that specialized in the public marketplace would be able to help a church. They were on point from the first presentation. VERY impressive!
